Fellows: Engage your network
A sample invite script
Once you've worked with Tim Walker, our Fellow Team Anchor, to identify potential invitees from your network, you can you can use/tailor this sample script to introduce them to the retreat.

Dear xxx,
I’d like to invite you to a unique gathering that I’m helping shape this year called Web of Change.
The aim is to connect a small network (100 or so) of leading thinkers and do-ers in our field doing "online engagement" -- people deeply dedicated to transformative work on the web to improve the world. It's NOT another how-to-do-twitter-and-facebook-and-look-at-the-expert type event. It's about hashing through the big issues in our field with a tribe who can make change happen.
I'm excited to say that I've been invited as a "Fellow" this year to contribute to the conversations. Which means I also get to nominate a handful of smart people to join me at the retreat. People I respect who I think would have a lot to both gain and offer. You immediately came to mind.
If you're interested let me know and we can chat through the details. Some more info below and at the website: http://webofchange.org Let me know!
Cheers,
xxx

This is the 11th year anniversary of Web Of Change, which is set in one of the most beautiful places in the world, Cortes Island, off the coast of Canada’s British Columbia.
The dates are Wednsday, September 21, through Sunday, September 25.
The intimate setting is at Hollyhock with sandy beaches on one side and deep forest on the other. There are eagles and deer galore and it is off the beaten track, which makes it an ideal location to disconnect from the outer world in order to be fully present for the event itself.
Tuition is $495. Accommodation and meals for the 5-day event range from $400 (camping) to $1000 (private room).
Check out www.webofchange.com for more details. Scholarships are available so please do consider coming even if cost is a limiting factor.
“There’s nothing quite like Web of Change — it’s a thrilling convergence of dreamers and doers working at the leading edges of their fields, and all of them are doing their damnedest to catalyze the kind of change our world so desperately needs.”
