Over the next two days, change makers from Los Angeles are breaking from the daily grind to tackle big questions and build new friendships in the San Bernardino Mountains at the first-ever Web of Change local event.
WOC veterans are fired up to share the Web of Change experience with change agents from LA-based organizations including: Move LA, Food & Water Watch, Institute for Public Strategies, MoveOn.org and ACTA, just to name a few.
Here's what's on the agenda. Hillary Lehr from Brigade (formerly Causes.com) will tackle the tough question of engagement. How do we engage supporters in a way that translates into real action and real change?
Harmony Eichsteadt from NationBuilder will uncover the real stories behind the data we're collecting. Refugio Mata from Presente.org will help us workshop and puzzle out specific challenges that attendees bring with them to Web of Change LA. Plus, lots more!
As always, sharing frontline experiences and making meaningful friendships will be at the heart of the event. New relationships have already formed thanks to our partnership with organizing team members from Presente.org and New Organizing Institute.
