In the week before the Web of Change 2015 application deadline, we held meet-up events in our four largest geographic hubs for alumni and applicants. The following is the story in pictures of our San Francisco meet-up, hosted by Leadership Team members Katie Bethell and Ben Simon.
What makes the gathering unique doesn't come from bioluminescent plankton in Cortes Island waters or healing mineral baths at Esalen, though that doesn't hurt. The magic is created in real time by the participants—135 leaders working at the intersection of technology and social change who come together with open hearts and open minds to learn from one another.
I’ve always thought there must be hundreds of marvellous stories about how Web of Change has come together year after year. Incredible heart and tremendous work goes into building this gathering and sustaining the community around it. In that process there are lessons about leadership, intentionality, systems and risk taking.
