Growing the Web of Change

Web of Changers are truly a force to be reckoned with! Here's a taste of what the community has been up to this month:

Fission's Cheryl Contee talked at Personal Democracy Forum about the need to bridge the digital divide, reminding us that "true power comes from building new power."

Also at PDF, Shayna Englin broke down the advocacy gap so we can all get better at influencing policymakers (you can catch her again on June 21.)

Favianna Rodrigues of Culturestrike.net talked about the power of political art and cultural organizing at Netroots Nation.

Jonah Sachs is getting ready to launch his eagerly awaited book on winning the story wars (2011 Web of Change attendees got a sneak peak).

And finally, the work of dozens of Web of Change alums and friends culminated last week in a very big day for DREAMers, with a long-awaited announcement from President Obama and a Time Magazine cover story. Kyle de Beausset of Citizen Orange tells the story.
