2012 Anchor Search

Web of Change doesn't happen without the dedicated effort of a handful of diligent volunteers who design and co-create the event. Today we embark on the process of getting the 2012 leadership team in place, seeking volunteers and nominations from our community for the Anchor roles.
Once again under the leadership of Michael Silberman as Chair, we're looking for four remarkable people to hold down the: agenda, communications, fellows program, and fundraising. (Click here for details on each role.)
Anchors will work collaboratively using a distributed leadership model that's been highly effective in the past. Serving as an Anchor is a big commitment for certain, but this year the load will be lightened as we're able to hire an Event Manager who will be supporting the Anchor team in many regards. (Thank you Founder's Circle sponsors who have enabled us to do so!)
The Anchor role runs Mar 1st to Oct 1st with one Anchor Team meeting a month and additional meetings of smaller work groups as needed. Anchors receive room, board & tuition at Hollyhock; a logo in anchor section of conference package; and anchors (and their organizations) are featured as community leaders at every opportunity.
Volunteers and nominees for Anchor positions need to have attended Web of Change at least once in the past two years — ideally they've attended both events — and have a genuine interest in the nuts and bolts of organizing an event of this scope and scale. We're seeking leaders who love helping other people grow, are passionate about digital engagement and social change, hopeful for the future, and eager to share and explore new ideas. We have been pushing boundaries of inclusion for years and will be assembling a leadership team with a diverse set of personal and professional experiences and perspectives.
