Social Tech Training Set for June
Social Tech Training returns in 2009, with more value and lower costs for all participants.
With the world facing unprecedented financial challenges, Web of Change is making a renewed commitment to STT as we work to place critical tech expertise and open engagement tools into the hands of non-profit and campaign leaders. We'll offer 65 emerging practitioners from across North America the opportunity to receive cutting edge training from a handful of industry leaders in web strategy and receive first-hand guidance in social media campaigns and advanced story telling skills.
This year also welcomes a new partnership with CanadaHelps.org and they're MyCharityConnects training. MyCharityConnects will offer a beginners level training that covers the basics of social media for those just getting started on their online engagement. This "101" training will provide critical first steps for non-profits, and allow STT to focus on a Masters Level offering that delivers higher level strategy and in depth tools to those who are ready to take their online engagement to the next level.
Together, MyCharityConnects and Social Tech Training will for the backbone of a weeklong offering at Toronto's MaRS Centre of Innovation that runs from June 7th all the way through June 12th. Registration begins later in March, so stay tuned for more details and announcements.
