Web of Change is an invitational gathering for networked leaders from NGOs, foundations, and the business world that are using the web to build relationships and inspire people to take action towards social change goals. We are the people leading change online and transforming the world through our work. Many participants return annually for trend-spotting, inspiring keynote speakers, to connect with like-minded peers, and tap into the humour, fun and creativity of this exceptional network.
Web of Change 2005 participants will:
Discuss the Big Hairy Issues facing our sector – from open source vs. proprietary business models, to creating a true collaboration culture in our organizations and industries, to framing our issues and campaigns from a values perspective, Web of Change provides a confidential space conducive to getting to the bottom of the topics of greatest importance to our work.
Develop Strategies That Work – work on your own organizations real-world challenges and gain insights and solutions from some of our fields most creative and successful thinkers.
Build Your Leadership Capacity – develop and improve your management capabilities and become a more effective and holistic leader.
Collaborate and Connect – with a diverse, unique, hand-picked group of peers from across North America and around the globe. The limited number of attendees and intimate nature of the conference environment enables you to build deep and trusting relationships with the key leaders in our field.
Reflect and Retreat – break from the buzz of your busy job to reflect on the intent and passion that drives your work while you nurture your soul in the healing waters and gardens of Cortes Island.
Sessions range from the practical and political to the intimate and insightful. And because every good social movement needs a social edge, we close each day with a dose of famous Web of Change fun dinners, parties, and outdoor hot tubs with people who will inspire you, blow your mind and become lifelong friends.
If you belong at Web of Change, find out how to apply. Through the generous support of our sponsors and Hollyhock, we also offer partial scholarships for lower income students, activists and artists to attend. Find out more.
