Social Tech Training

Success at Social Tech Training

one on one session

STT 2009 wrapped up to applause from all sides. By the end of an intense three days, participants were energized and better prepared to start implementing new online tools and fresh ideas back at their own organizations.

This is where the toughest work, and the most tangible part of the Social Tech Training takes place.

STT Presentation Slides Available Online

Social Tech Training was sold out weeks before the event, with a waiting list of more than 90 people. Although we couldn't accommodate everyone at the event itself, we'll be making as much material available as possible.

See below for links to each day's presentation slides, courtesy of the Net Change Week organizing team. Check them out, and leave your thoughts on other resources our readers should know about.

Day 1: Innovation for Inspiration

STT Day 1 - Hitting the High Level

Inside MaRS

Social Tech Training got underway yesterday, as 65 participants from leading non-profits, education institutions, and socially responsible businesses embarked on a three day journey  to explore how community building strategies of web2.0 can bolster and support their work for change.

What to Expect at the STT

I wrote to all of our STT participants today, letting them know what to expect out of our training, what our focus is, and inviting them to create space for others on our 90+ person waiting list if they aren't sure it's the right fit for them:

Hello STT! Congratulations for registering for this unique event. It is set to be an even more fabulous expereince for skill building, learning, inspiration, and community building than it was last year.

3 Ways to Connect with Sold Out STT

MCC logo

Response to this year’s Social Tech Training has been overwhelming, especially since last week’s offer of free tuition to select NGOs, and we’re sorry to announce to everyone who didn't get in in time that this year’s event is officially sold out!

Despite the downturn, it’s clear non profits are investing in digital media to help them create the innovative programs that they will need in the months and years ahead.

For those who were not able to register, you still have three opportunities to connect...

And the Winners Are...

Last week we announced that we would award three free tuitions to this year’s Social Tech Training, and we asked you to spread the word to Canada’s non-profit leaders. Your efforts and response was overwhelming and we are proud to announce our latest scholarship recipients!
